Interactive Session on 'The Art of Motivation and Creativity'

Organizers: Ms. Maliha Barry (Programme Manager BBA,MBA), Ms. Aisha Kashif (Cluster Head Allied Courses), and Miss Amna Ali.

Ms. Amna Mufti is a celebrated author, novelist and playwright, she has been writing from early age of her life was inspired by Mir Taqi Mir and Ghalib. She composed her first verse at age six. Ada Jaffrey, Faraz, Iqbal and Faiz were her early favorites and still are. In prose, it has to be Qurat ul Ain Hyder.

She had a very interactive secession with the students of Lahore Business School. She inspired the students to use their native language as this is the language most close to heart, in which emotions are best expressed. Ms. Amina insisted that our younger generation should remember their roots and what best to do than to read and write a luxury which the youth is not availing while being engrossed in the realms of social media. Her message to the students was:

“Never go with the flow, always choose paths less traveled. You will meet amusing people and see unusual scenes. This is the best life can offer. Stay away from mediocrity. It’s a sin to behave like a sheep in herd. We all are different from each other. Discover yourself and stay as you are not as people want you to be”.

At the end the students clarified their doubts and exposed their inner fears regarding the “Real World” to which she kindly addressed one by one and she asserted that life has to be lived with pride to taking risk is what would make us learn from our own slip-ups yet this is what will make us worthy of our position in the society. The most important part is to contribute to society in the best positive way that we can. Ms. Maliha Barry also shared her views she said, “There is no nation who is successful without remembering their roots, so as Pakistanis we should be Proud of our culture and should always uphold our values to make a stronger and more stable Pakistan”.  It was a very motivating and inspiring session at the end Ms. Maliha presented a souvenir to our guest as a token of our appreciation.
