Interactive Session on HR Practices in Pakistan

A large number of companies seek the outsourcing services of HR recruitment companies. The focus on HRM is now moved to the strategic utilization of employees and the measurable impact of employee programs over business. Nowadays successful companies need to be adaptive, resilient, customer-centred and quick to change direction. Within such an environment the effectiveness of HRM is crucial to business success. HR professionals establish systems for performance development, career succession planning and employee development. This keeps people motivated, happy, personally engaged and contributing to company success. Furthermore the HR professional helps the development of organizational culture and climate in which employees have the competency, concern and commitment to serve customers well.

Two guest speakers were invited from the corporate sector to share their HR management related experiences with the students. Therefore, Two sessions have been organized by HR/Management Cluster on April 25, 2019. Themes of the sessions are as under.

Mr. Imran Khalid has diversified seven years of experience in Human resource management. He is currently working as Manager learning and development at Association for Academic Quality for last 7 years. He holds a Master Degree in Business Administration (HR) from Comsats University Islamabad, Lahore Campus. He is actively engaged with public and private sector as an OD consultant and trainer. He has served Punjab government, FAPF, Awari International, NRSP and PRSP on different assignments. He is SPHRi from HRCI-USA and certified in measuring learning impact from -the USA and he is an active member of SHRM and HRCI. He has developed dozen modules for staff capacity building. He is considered to be an expert of measuring results and evaluation. Mr. Imran is a true spokesman and practitioner of D&I. his area of expertise is Talent Acquisition, Organizational Development, Strategic Management, Measuring Learning Results and Administration & Compliance.

Mr Khawaja Asif Mushtaq is a young & energetic professional who believes in sheer smart work, passion and commitment. He is currently working as Director Operations at Association for Academic Quality for last 14 years. He holds a Master Degree in Business Administration (HR) from University of Management & Technology. He has also earned the prestigious Certification SPHRi from HRCI-USA & SHRM-SCP. He is Chairman of National Standards & Mirror Committee (Govt. of Pakistan TC - 05). He is also a member of ISO (Geneva) Technical Committee on Human Resource Management TC-260, Technical Committee on Occupational Health & Safety TC 283 and Educational Organizations Management Systems PC 288.

He has a vast experience of HR (Strategic & Operations) in the fields of Software, Textile, Education, Leather Tanneries, Steel and NGO (Social Sector). Besides these experiences he is a professional trainer, consultant and a visiting lecturer at public & private universities. He has the privileged of developing module on measuring learning impacts based on atd publications. He is actively engaged at different events and forums.
